Sani Pass Day Tour

A scenic drive from Durban through the Natal Midlands takes you to Underberg, where you will transfer to a 4×4 vehicle, for the ascent of the spectacular Sani Pass.  This pass climbs 1300m in 12km, into the mountain Kingdom of Lesotho (passports required to enter Lesotho; some passport holders may require visas).  Discover the rustic charm of a Basotho settlement.  Enjoy a meal at the highest pub in Africa (2784m) affording majestic views of the mountains. The uKhahlamba Drakensberg Park has exceptional natural beauty in its soaring basaltic buttresses, incisive dramatic cutbacks, and golden sandstone ramparts. Rolling high altitude grasslands, the pristine steep-sided river valleys and rocky gorges also contribute to the beauty of the site.
